The following instructions are set for DSL
customer trying to connect to the Internet using a DYNAMIC or STATIC ip
address. To be able to connect to the Internet with Cyberonic DSL,
you must configure your machine correctly. Here are lists of simple
Network TCP/IP instructions to guides you through your configuration. |
From the Start menu, choose Control Panel icon.

-
Click the Network and Internet Connections icon.

- Double click on Network Connections
icon.

- Right-click on the Local Area Connection icon and choose Properties from the pop-up menu.
- Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the This connection uses the following items list.
- Click the Properties button.
- Select Use the following IP address.
"Only if you want or have given a Static IP".
- In the IP address field, type the IP address you have been assigned.
- Enter the Subnet Mask given to you from Cyberonic. in the Subnet mask
field.
- Enter your Default gateway
address given to you.
-
Select Use the following DNS server addresses Enter the DNS given to you.
- Then click OK.
- Then Click Ok.
- Then Click Close.
You had finish configuring
your TCP/IP setting for Windows XP.

Windows 2000 Networking |
Right click on My Network Places, and choose properties.
Right click on Local Area Connection,
and choose properties.

- Select your (TCP/IP)
- Use Obtain an IP address automatically
only if you do not have a STATIC IP address.
- If you have a STATIC IP, check Use the
following IP address
- Enter your IP address, Subnet
mask, Default gateway given to you from Cyberonic.
- Check Use the following DNS server
addresses, enter the DNS given to you from Cyberonic.
- Then click OK.
- Then Close.
You had finish configuring your TCP/IP setting for Windows 2000.

98 / 95 / ME / NT Networking |
Right click on My Network
Places (located on your desktop) then choose properties.
- Use Obtain an IP address automatically
only if you DO NOT have a STATIC IP address.
- If you have a STATIC IP, check Specify
an IP address, and enter the IP given to you form Cyberonic.
- Wins Configuration should be Disable.
- Enter your Default gateway given to you from Cyberonic.
- DNS Configuration should Enable, enter the
DNS given to you from Cyberonic.
- Then click OK.
- Then Ok again.

You had finish configuring your TCP/IP setting for Windows98/95/ME/NT.

Now your Network Ethernet TCP/IP properties should be configured correctly. Try again to
connect. If necessary, restart your computer and try again.
